The feature film Barren, directed by Mansour Vosoughi and produced by Mohammad Kamalipour, has been officially selected for the “World Cinema” section at the 23rd Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh.
In the “World Cinema” category, 35 to 40 films will compete for the Audience Award. The 23rd Dhaka International Film Festival will take place from January 11 to 19, 2025, in Bangladesh. The overarching theme of the festival is “Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society.” Since its inception in 1977, this festival has been dedicated to promoting cinema culture in Bangladesh and emphasizing the global and social impact of cinema.
The festival features various sections, including “Asian Cinema,” “Wide Angle,” “Bangladesh Panorama,” “World Cinema,” “Children’s Films,” “Women’s Filmmakers,” “Short and Independent Films,” and “Spiritual Films.”
