I don’t like black and white characters. Because I like real life, gray characters are my priority. Selim Evci said in the other parts of this meeting: You must collage your experiences; For me, cinema is a collage of life. I look around for characters to use them for Roles. Shahbazi said: The screenwriter knows the atmosphere of the film. If the director is someone other than the screenwriter, we have to adapt the budget to the atmosphere. It is not possible to expect that the desired atmosphere creation will happen at a cheap cost. The budget of the film is the first issue; Because the number of filming sessions increases to create a suitable atmosphere. Besides, you can’t get the actors you want with a low budget. If you need travel and equipment, you may not be able to cost and it will damage the atmosphere of the film. In another part, he said: Another issue is the filming time. It means in what season and when you shoot. At the same time, certain scenes that must be recorded at certain times should be considered. The problem of some movies that have inappropriate atmosphere is the location. The location should be chosen based on the personality of the character. The location must contain the character. Referring to the fact that he traveled to Iran for the first time in 1985, Bilge ceylan said: I have been to Iran three times so far, the last time was about 20 years ago. I like Iranian cinema very much and I am happy to be in a country with a strong cinema. In a part of this meeting, he said: I made my first short film at the age of 36. I thought that my spirit and personality were not compatible with cinema and that’s why I started late. I lived mostly in my loneliness because I enjoyed being alone. I started my career with photography. Because photography allows you to do something alone. I thought the film I was making was a form of photography , and that’s why I found the courage to enter the cinema. The winner of the Cannes Palme d’Or said about the attractiveness of the subjects for making his films: I am more curious about moral issues in which decisions cannot be made and things I don’t know to make movie. Ceylan said about his creative process during the development of the story: I wish there was a clear way to go through this process. We have to find a new way for every film and script. We think more about the state of the potentials to move the story forward. In a part of this meeting, this famous Turkish director said about the life of Abbas Kiarostami: He is my favorite director and I learned a lot from him. He has had a great impact on me. In Istanbul, when I went to “Where is the friend’s house?” I didn’t know him yet and I didn’t know much about Iranian cinema. This movie was not at all similar to the movies I had watched before and he had put issues that no one as a filmmaker valued before and made a movie out of it. When you watch such movies and like them, new doors open to you. Since then I have followed Kiarostami’s cinema and I like all his movies. He said: We have a common culture.
