Farid Sharifi, a young film editor and filmmaker, has been selected as a jury member in the International Section of the 8th Kenya International Sports Film Festival.

Sharifi, who has been worked for years in film editing and filmmaking, previously worked as an assistant editor with Mastaneh Mohajer and as an assistant director and script supervisor on the acclaimed film Hit the Road directed by Panah Panahi.

He has also collaborated in editing on several short and documentary films, including In Praise of Life directed by Ebrahim Haghighi and Rokh directed by Sam Kalantari.

The 8th Kenya International Sports Film Festival will be held in Nairobi from October 15 to 18.
Farid Sharifi from Iran, along with jurors from the UK, India, and Kenya, will judge 33 short, documentary, and feature films from 15 countries.
